Oreo Pretzel Spiders
& Almond Bark Pretzel Candy Corn Treats

Tomorrow is our little love's first Halloween party! I am definitely the type to create for the occasion and decided to make these adorable Oreo Pretzel Spiders and Almond Bark Pretzel Candy Corn treats for C to pass out to his classmates. They were super easy and look super cute!

(or Triple Stuffed if you can find them)

How to assemble:
-Hold Oreo
-Gently slide pretzel rods one at a time between the cookie layers into the frosting
repeat until you have four spider legs on each side of the Oreo
-Melt Almond Bark according to package directions  (I melted two pieces)
-Using a spoon, place a small amount of melted Almond Bark onto an M&M
place the Almond Bark on the side that is printed with "M&M"
-Place M&Ms on the Oreo cookie to create the spider's eyes
-Allow for Almond Bark to set
-Place in packaging carefully
-Pass out to friends...or keep for yourself  :)

{MWW} Apple Nachos

Apple Nachos

We journeyed out to our favorite orchard, Gull Meadow Farms, this past weekend to pick some apples with our friends.  We came home with a bag of gems and now I am being very dilegent in making sure that we eat them!

One of our new favorite ways to enjoy an apple is to create apple nachos.

Slice up your favorite apple.
Drizzle with caramel and chocolate sauce.
Add a few chocolate chips for good measure and enjoy!!

Until next time...

{Tuesday's Treasures} first vendor booth

I have a passion to create and decorate.
I love using my God-given talents to bless someone with one of my creations.

For the past year, my niece Adalynn has been the primary recipient of my work.  From the moment we received the news she was a girl, all I could think was ribbon, bows, lace and frills!  I ventured into creating bows and headbands and found a new passion for my creativity.

Saturday I took a leap of faith and decided to participate as a vendor at a mom2mom sale.  In the past, the majority of my work has been gifted to family and friends as well as a few sales on  Presenting my work at the sale provided an opportunity to display my creations for sale and network to possible clients for the future.  I am so thankful that I listened to God's prompting to have a table at the sale.  I know that this is just the beginning of something great and I am thankful for the opportunity to use my talents and create.

Below are photos documenting my booth display.  Enjoy!
If you see any items you are interested in, "like" Forever Fancy By Faye on Facebook and send me a private message or comment below.
In the near future, I will be showcasing some of my creations here on the blog so please check back soon!

Thank you for your continued support!

Until next time...

{Memory-sharing Monday}

Oh happy day! We are still in celebration mode over daddy's dance victory at "Dancing with the Docs" on Saturday evening.  If you missed watching the video you can click here to view Matt and his dance instructor Gerah perform the Salsa Fusion.  We love watching daddy shake his tail feather!  Little love is fascinated with the star trophies daddy received for the Judge's Award and the People's Choice Award and insisted they stay on his bedroom bookshelf while he slept Saturday night and Sunday.  He actually shed tears when daddy took them to his office this morning as he loves them so much.  We watched the dance video a few times today and little love said, "they are really good dancers!"

As the celebration continues, I would like to share with you some of the "Dancing with the Docs" event documented through photos.

Until next time...

Dancing With The Docs

The love of my life participated as a dancer in the "Dancing with the Docs" benefit  last evening for the Allegan Wings of Hope Hospice. Matt and his dance instructor, Gerah did an amazing job performing Salsa Fusion

Matt and Gerah were awarded a perfect score 30/30 resulting in the Judge's Award as well as raising the most monetary votes resulting in the presentation of the People's Choice Award. It was the first time in event history a performer won both awards. I could not be more proud!  Matt was hot, Hot, HOT last night!  I am not sure I will ever be able to shimmy, shake, moonwalk or twerk as good as my man!!  Enjoy this abbreviated video of their performance last night!!

Until next time...

Friday Night Fun - Camp Quality 20 Year Reunion

This year Camp Quality Illinois celebrates their 20th year of supporting children with cancer.  Tonight I had the privileged of attending the 20th Reunion at CD&ME in Frankfort, Illinois.  For those unfamiliar with Camp Quality, below is the description (in red font) given on the Camp Quality Illinois  website.

My involvement with Camp Quality began as an opportunity to stay involved in the life of Jordan, my kindergarten student whom I home-schooled while she received her cancer treatment during the 2004-2005 school year.  To learn more about Jordan and our friendship, you can read the following post, Celebrate Life and Celebration of Life Update.

Camp Quality is much more than a week of camp. It is a support network for children and families alike that can walk together during dark days and can celebrate moments and milestones together.  I am so grateful for the six years I was able to volunteer as Jordan's companion and for the lifelong friendships I have created.  While I am unable to volunteer a week of my time in this season of life, I will always be a strong advocate for their mission and goals and support them with my talents, money and what time I can give!

Continue to scroll down past the description of Camp Quality to see my photos from the evening of celebration!

 What is Camp Quality?

With a Dose of Smile Therapy. . .

Camp Quality is a summer camping experience and year-round support program for children with cancer. Many difficult physical and emotional challenges face a child, and his or her family, when battling cancer. At our summer camps we have developed an important type of “therapy” . . . we like to call it Smile Therapy! With a laugh in their hearts and smiles on their faces, Camp Q. Kids find themselves capable of more than they may have dreamed possible.

We Laugh, Love, Lift-up...

Camp Quality has built its reputation on personalized care. Every camper is paired with a companion who is dedicated completely to his or her care. Companions are the life-blood of Camp Q; they are fun to be with, adventuresome, great listeners and are always sharing their love for life. Their primary responsibility is to make sure their camper has the most enjoyable, safe, relaxing and restoring experience possible. This relationship creates a beautiful bond that continues long after camp is over, and oftentimes for years to come.

Normal Kids with Extraordinary Lives . . .

Surrounded by new friends that can relate, loving volunteers who care, and loads of fun experiences, Camp Quality campers find joy, new courage and renewed hope for the future. They are free to be themselves . . . free to be kids again.

Ashley and Jordan
Best friends since meeting in the hospital

Ashley is a walking miracle who has overcome every challenge and statistic given to her.
Jordan is now considered cured as she has been out of treatment for over five years.

Two of my everyday heroes.
Love their smiles, determination and desire to live life dancing in the rain!

Faye and Jordan
Friendship, mentor-ship, fun and feisty!

Faye, Jordan & Emily

I am so thankful for Emily who pinky promised if the time came and I could not be
Jordan's companion that she would take on the role.  She made good on her promise
and has been involved with Camp Quality for four years now as Jordan's companion.

Camp Quality Illinois Director, Mary Lockton, addressing the crowd.

Lexi and Me
Alexis was in my kindergarten class the same year that I
home-schooled Jordan while receiving treatment. Their
families know each other through their experience at
Hope Hospital.

Jordan, Faye, Lexi
What beautiful young ladies Jordan and Lexi have grown into.
So proud!

To recognize, honor and celebrate the lives of Camp Quality members
who have gone before us, there was a special lantern lighting.
It was a beautiful tribute.

Jordan and Matt Rusler

Oh, Peggy!
If you have ever attended a CQ event, you know Peggy!

Erica just joined the CQ COC.  Congratulations, Erica!

A special shout-out to my in-laws who came to Michigan to watch our little love so I could attend the Camp Quality 20th Reunion.  I am always thankful when I can support a case near and dear to my heart!  Thank you also to the Pickering's for your hospitality.

Until next time...
