{Monday Motivation} Jeremiah 32:27

The Bible says in this world we will have trouble.  I know I can easily get defeated by situations that Satan uses to discourage me and get me down rather than to choose joy and live with triumph that God has overcome the world.  Reality is, everyone is fighting a battle.  I have family battling to overcome medical conditions, friends battling cancer, friends overwhelmed with parenting, friends fighting for their marriages, family stricken with loss and the list goes on.  But I choose to cling to HOPE and God's truth that NOTHING is too hard for Him!  I know that God is my strength and without Him, it would be hard to get through my own personal trials.  Today I celebrate that with God I can do all things.  Do you believe that nothing is too hard for God?

Until next time...

{Monday Motivation} Philippians 4:13

Yes, I CAN do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me!

Recent conversations with our little love have often included him stating "I am able to ___" or "I am not able to ____".  We are doing our best to instill truth in him and lean on scripture in all areas of our life.  Philippians 4:13 in the Bible has been the statement of truth we have referenced in teaching C that he most definitely is ABLE to do ALL THINGS through Christ.
Interesting enough that sometimes the lessons we are teaching our children are also lessons we might need to revisit ourselves!

{Monday Motiviation} Whom Shall I Fear

Morning! Happy June!
This month we anticipate many celebrations and life events for our little family including my husband graduating residency, a friend's wedding, purchasing our first home, and moving across state!  You can imagine that the excitement also brings some anxiety to my heart! There are many tasks to be complete, gifts to purchase, boxes to pack and memories to be captured!  I am so thankful that I can cast my anxiety on the One true God! He has gone  before me and knows what lays ahead for me today, tomorrow and in this crazy month.  Praying that I will seek Him first; the God who is always by my side!
This morning the image below came through on my Facebook news feed posted by Proverbs 31 Ministries with photo credit to Family Christian Stores. The text are the lyrics to the song Whom Shall I Fear by Chris Tomlin which just happens to be my favorite song in this season of life right now! It is amazing how God can speak straight to your heart as this image and words did to me this morning.
May you feel God's peace and joy today!

{Monday Motivation} Nothing

Hello dear friends!
I did not anticipate being gone from blog world so long but life has been in full speed this month! Husband and I returned Wednesday from a vacation to the Smoky Mountains. It was our first vacation without child and it was wonderful!  We are so very blessed to have supportive family that made the trip possible.  A big shout-out to Grandma and Granddad for coming to our home and keeping our little love in his comfortable living arrangements and spoiling him crazy while we were gone.  Vacation photos and stories to come in future posts.
Unfortunately last week we also experienced a tragic death in our family that resulted in traveling to my hometown for the remainder of the week to attended services and be with family.  It has just been a whirlwind of emotions!  And to top off the beginning of this week and transition back to 'normal' the dog got sick all over the living room carpet today so I got to spend a portion of my morning today shampooing the carpet! Yea me!

As previously mentioned the events of this month have also initiated a lot of emotion: joy, frustration, disbelief, anger, suspense, excitement, and anticipation. Emotions are real and raw and we must be able to identify them and be able to process and cope so that we may grow into the individual God has created us to be. I am so thankful that through this life journey; in the mountains and valleys, God promises nothing can separate me from His love.

{Monday Motivation} do not be discouraged

http://estherboutique.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/222787512787393199_qroohsdx_c.jpg

We are in the midst of planning for some big life changes for our family and quite honestly, I have been overwhelmed.  There are joys and sorrows that come with my husband completing residency.  We are definitely moving into a season where "the best is yet to come" but that includes leaving the comfort of our apartment where we have lived for 5 years, saying good-bye to dear friends, leaving our church which we love so much and an area of Michigan that has become our home. God has been so faithful and in my heart I praise Him for the ways he has provided for me and my family.  But then there is my head where fears and discouragement try to sneak in and steal my joy and anticipation for what God has in store.  So today and in the days to come, I want to be strong, not discouraged and know that God has gone before me and my family preparing something beautiful and He will be with us every step of this new journey.

{Monday Motivation} Conquerors

"in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."

I follow some fantastic blogs and encourage and inspire me as a Christ follower, Christian wife and mother.  This morning, the blog author ohAmanda posted the following on her Facebook feed:
Happy Monday morning! I'm reading Romans 8:35-39 today and I love this section: "in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."

MORE than conquerors. I don't feel like a conqueror very often. Especially not MORE than one. Monday morning sometimes looms ahead of me as a great big to-do list. Instead, I want today to be a reflection of this verse--that through Jesus (and His love) I can be more than a conqueror!

What an encouragement to read this truth in God's Word!  Monday mornings for me often include the reality of what actually got accomplished over the weekend and what remaining items need to be plugged in throughout my week. Monday is also a transition day as our weekends include precious time with daddy and the morning brings sadness for my son when he wakes and can not locate his father.  This scripture is such an encouragement that the feeling of defeat is not the work of the Lord that he has declared me a conqueror; actually more than a conqueror!  Today I am ready to embrace the love of the one true God and be a conqueror in His name.  I am praying that I will raise my head high on this Monday and be motivated not discouraged! May you be encouraged today as well!

{Monday Motivation} God's love

Thanking God for his unconditional love today!  His mercies are new this morning!
May this day be a day of productivity where I am focused on serving others before myself and doing all things for the glory of the Lord!

Do you know the extreme love God has for me...he has for you too?!

{Monday Motivation} want / have

Pinned Image

It is so easy to want more in life.
My personal struggle is being content with what I have...shelter, food, clothing.
I am in a Bible study that is reading from the book of Matthew - specifically the Sermon on the Mount.  The study book, Mocha on the Mount, defines a materially wealthy person as one who possesses a change of clothing and food for the next meal before having to earn it first.  May I remember that the things I have been given are a blessing and the things I want are more than likely just that...wants...not needs. I must remember I am materially wealthy and the things I already have should meet my current needs.  I am blessed!

promise

Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.  Look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.  Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best.  Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.  Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.  Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you
                                                                           -Christian D. Larson

And that, my friends, is my Monday motivation!  The quote comes from a magnet my sister has hanging on her fridge.  My twin sister has a love for quotes and the written word and her home decor reflects her passion.  I love to visit her and be inspired by the words she has creatively displayed in her home.

We are currently praying our way through some big life decisions.  The only one who can give my heart ultimate peace and keep my spirit calm is the Lord.  These images were found on Pinterest and are my Monday Motivation!

Monday Motivation

In the journey of raising a child, we experience a roller coaster of emotions: joy, anger, sorrow, fear, anxiety, happiness, frustration, laughter, etc.  Raising a child is no easy task and we must always keep things in perspective while we are spending hours feeding, cleaning, repeating while we build character and instill values in our children.  It is easy for me {and maybe you} to have a love tank that is running on low.  I need to be encouraged and valued to know that my efforts in staying at home and raising our child are going making impact for the future.  Some days are full of joy and some days are just not.  However, I desire for days of fun, joy and minimal negativity.  To keep my mind and heart focused on raising up children of the Lord, I like to read, pray and rely on encouraging words/poems/scripture to fill my love tank.  Below is a piece I found via Pinterest that I wanted to share for a little "Monday Motivation".
