Rice Krispies Treat Pops!

 {Rice Krispies Treat Pops}

So, I totally get that Valentine's Day was 2 weeks ago and I'm just now posting about the treat I took to our Valentine's Day theme play date.  I am coming to terms with the fact that I am not always proactive but I do complete my to-do list...even if the expectation of completion was two weeks ago!

I saw this post while reading my favorite blogs and decided to make Rice Krispies Treat pops for our play date.  It was a super easy and quick way to take a simple product and make it fancy for a special occasion!

Supplies:
Rice Krispies Mini Treats
           (I used the ones that were specifically created for distributing as Valentine's Day gifts)

Lollipop sticks
           (I purchased mine at JoAnn Fabric and Craft store)

Wilton Candy melts
Candy sprinkles
Wax paper

Directions:
Unwrap the Rice Krispies Mini Treat
Push lollipop stick into the bottom of the treat
Melt your candy according to directions on the package
Dip your Rice Krispies treat into the chocolate
      (I only dipped mine about 1/2 way)

Dip your candy covered Rice Krispies treat into a bowl of sprinkles
Place on wax paper for the chocolate to set
Eat and enjoy!

I contemplated packaging these treats individually with the cute little tag eighteen25 offered but decided that in reality the little people at the play date would not appreciate my efforts in packaging the treats and it would cause frustration in opening.  So, I just served them from a container and everyone was happy! They were so good, the container came home empty!

The great thing about this treat is you can make them for any occasion or holiday by adjusting the candy color and sprinkles!  Do I see green candy covered Rice Krispies Treats for St. Patrick's Day in your future?!

healthy with a dose of love!!

Hello friends!
I come to you with a thankful heart for restored health!  Husband and I recovered quickly from the flu and God has protected our little love from the icky symptoms.  Yea!

So...here is the beginning of our Valentine's Day festivity recap I promised.

Monday February 11th we had a MOPS Valentine's Day theme play date a friend's house.
It was such a refreshing time to meet up with friends and just let our littles play and have adult conversation...even if the topic is parenting!  Mrs. B watched our little love the week before when I had a dentist appointment so he was in all his glory knowing the ropes and befriending their cat again!
Every play date needs a snack! We enjoyed delicious Valentine's Day treats made by our friends.  I think little love's favorite were the strawberries cut into hearts and dipped in yogurt as well as the chocolate covered strawberries.  I made Rice Krispie treats on a stick dipped in chocolate with cutesy sprinkles.  {Tutorial will be posted as a separate entry.}
Don't forget the special Valentine's Day project! Mrs. B prepared the supplies for the littles to make heart butterflies.  Wiggle eyes and dotters are always a hit!  So cute!

 Following our project time, we decorated heart cookies.  I enjoyed watching little love master the knife to spread the frosting and then of course adding the M&Ms and sprinkles.  That boy loves anything that comes in a shaker!

 Thank you to Mrs. B for hosting our MOPS table Valentine's Day theme play date!!

the flu is evil!

As you can guess by the topic of this post, our family is contaminated with the flu. Ick!
I was down first; thankfully I only had the worst symptoms for about 24 hours.  Just on the brink of my recovery, husband gets sick this morning.  He went into work but has since returned and is down for the count in bed.  His symptoms are worse from what I experienced.  I feel horrible and hate seeing my loved ones ill!  Sanitizing round #2 was just completed and I thought I would write a post quick to ask for prayers that our little love does not receive this ickyness!  Cast away flu! You're not welcome here!  Hoping I can do a weekly recap post in the near future including our early Valentine's Day celebrations.  For now I must focus my attention on getting everyone healthy!

In the past week, I received three separate orders in my etsy store for custom birthday shirts. It brings me great joy that my gift of creativity can bless the life of another!!  Below are photos documenting the final creations.  If you are in the market for a custom order birthday shirt, I'd love to make your vision a reality.  Please visit my etsy store or email me at foreverfancybyfaye at gmail dot com.

a definition of love...

"I love you"
Are these three words said to you in your home?  Do you tell others that you love them?
Sometimes saying "I love you" can become such a habit we often forget to think about what we are really stating to another individual.  I know that I do not want my words to become casual and repetitive that my husband, children & loved ones are unable to recognize the reason and way that I love them. May we feel challenged to say more than these three little words "I love you" and really explain our love.  The following are two phrases that I look forward to sharing with my husband today:  "I love you because you never give up."
I love your determination to correctly complete a task."   What makes you love someone?
Share your reasoning with those special people today!

{MWW} what's for dinner?

{repeat}

Today I'm featuring what is currently cooking in my crock pot for dinner:
Crock Pot Barbeque Chicken

I posted the recipe back in July 2012 and thought it was a great time to share it again!
This recipe is so easy and tastes so good. It literally took me all of 5 minutes to mix the ingredients together and place in the crockpot and I did it all while talking on the phone with my momma early this afternoon. {Love ya, momma!} I am going to saute some potatoes and onions and add some fruit and call it a meal!

Click here for my Mouth-watering Wednesday post with the recipe.
